Hosting
Got space? Let it for a season.
A room or an entire place — here is what you need to bring and how the steps run.
Listing is free. We only earn once you get booked.
What you need to bring
Six things. Four take a few minutes here, two are on you.
- An account with a second factor
- Every account here is secured with two-factor sign-in or a passkey — yours included.
- A verified ID
- Upload your ID card or passport. We check it by hand; only then can you list. Same for private people and companies.
- Germany, Austria, Switzerland
- Quartavo starts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For now your home, your residence and your tax residence must be there. You file your tax details before you become a host.
- A bank account
- Payouts run via Stripe to your account. Setting it up takes a few minutes and needs your IBAN and ID details.
- The basics of your place
- Address, photos, nightly price, how many guests, check-in and check-out times and your house rules. Where your city requires a registration number, you enter it too.
- Letting commercially: a business account
- If you let commercially you file your provider details. We publish them, as § 5 DDG and Art. 30 DSA require.
- Permission to let at all
- Short-let restrictions, the owner's consent, registration and tax duties: whatever applies where you are is yours to sort out. We cannot do that for you.
